Awesome. Good reward for the players, and its the first bowl of the season which helps with the transition we will be going through.

So typical of playing down to an opponent, getting off the throttle so early in the 1st half when you think you've got it won way too early than you really do & letting them stay in the game until the very end.

Only time i saw him on the field in the 4th was on the "hands" team after Techs last TD when we thought they might try an onside kick.

I’d have taken him out too no matter the score. He’s looking at possibly putting in his NFL paperwork to see where he’s projected to go. There’s no valid reason to keep him in there

UAB RB DeWayne McBride when asked what's the next step in his career: "It depends on whatever Coach Vincent got going." When asked if that means he would stay if Coach Vincent remains as head coach, he said, "It depends."

I will miss him.

McBride is an absolute beast, but I’m guessing his fumbling issues are going to prevent a draft grade he wants to see. I think he could be a third rounder or better, but he needs another year to prove he can hold onto the ball. The flip side is the number of carries a RB has in his career is limited, and he may just try the late round/undrafted route.

I agree. I absolutely think he is an NFL running back. Nothing else just comparing him to Jordan Howard and Spencer Brown, he is clearly a step above either of them. I agree the fumbling issues will be his Achilles’ heel. It’s obviously something he didn’t work on very much or prioritize this year. He also hasn’t been used as a receiving back. So I guess he will just be early down back only with fumbling issues. He didn’t exactly show out against our only big time opponent either.

I’ve been told he needs to work on his blocking in pass protection situations.

They can be expedited for athletes in most cases. Last time we had a couple of players not make the trip because of passport issues though.
