College Gameday: Reports the "Lane Train" staying at Ole Miss. And, Hugh Freeze is the leading candidate to go to AUBURN! What are our future Liberty Loyalists hearing about this Move?

Didn't Liberty just sign Freeze to a really big multimillion dollar contract extension?

Yes but Auburn loves paying former, present and future coaches at the same time. They must have their own printing press, commonly called rich-ass boosters.

From Thamel:

Sources: Auburn has been in discussion with Hugh Freeze for weeks about him becoming Auburn's next coach. They won't make a formal offer until after the Iron Bowl, but they've informally discussed contract and numbers with him for more than week.

Sounds like Flames fans getting salty at the game.

Don’t like the chants. We’re all frustrated & disappointed. But I’m thankful for @CoachHughFreeze and his time here. He moved us forward as a program. Stay classy Liberty! @ASeaofRed @LibertyFootball

Yes, but don’t take away from the great performance by the Aggies.

Reminds me of our basketball coaches piss-poor preparation when our so-called "leaders" let Kermit continue coaching MT in the NIT after taking the Ole Miss job.

John L Smith got the news he was going from Louisville to Mich St at halftime of our bowl with them in 2002. They came out flat AF and got beat down in the second half.

RE: Hugh Freeze?
Just an hour before kickoff the team found out about Freeze flirting with Auburn. Supposedly the job was Kiffin's and he backed out at like 10:45AM this morning and Freeze was the 2nd choice. Give New Mexico State credit. They improved a lot this year and their QB played superb today. That said, I have never seen a more lifeless games by Liberty, ever. There was just zero emotion from start to finish. It would actually be weird to have Freeze come back because he hasn't handled the last 3 weeks very well. In fact, we are 1-6 in November the last two years, including 0-4 at home. I think this directly relates to Freeze flirting around with other jobs. It felt today like some players almost quit intentionally.

Yeah...kinda hard to get hype for a game/coach when you've been told you'll be the first to know...and then you hear it on news media. Not well handled at all...especially for our kids.

If he goes their nut job fan base will turn on him within two years. That’s my over / under.

He should stay at Liberty.

Gonna be tough to stay at LU. I mean, he could (not going to happen), but he lost the locker room today with the way it was perceived and handled. Lost a good chunk of fan-base. Intentional or not...perception is reality.
