I know it's real, but still hard to believe Nebraska belongs in that sentence with NM and South Alabama while Vanderbilt, Colorado, Duke and Rutgers have all been to bowls more recently.

South Alabama is 10-2.

New Mexico St. had to have a very long streak.

In 11 more years they'll be like Miami. Well, if Miami had 90k fans at every game and huge alumni and student support.

My high school marching band director went to NMSU. He'd tell stories of how the team was so bad when he went there that they'd play the fight song whenever they crossed the 50 yard line.

Umass. played in the Tangerine Bowl now known as Chez It Bowl back in 1964 and lost to East Carolina.
Umass did played in the 1972 Boardwalk Bowl and beat UC-Davis that year.

Technically, they were in a major bowl that is now FBS in 1964.

NMSU had the longest streak, like 50 years up until a few seasons ago when they made the Arizona Bowl.
