Rain all but gone from Metroplex now, Apogee has FieldTurf that drains well.

And yes, there's plenty of beer

We are not good. The bulk of talent on this team is still too young.

We played a chronically injured UTSA team close, we peaked at WKU randomly, and have melted as the season wore on.

14-14 at the half and a loss today would be bittersweet. Littrell will get the axe, we avoid an embarrassing beatdown in the CCG, and we end up in a random bowl game.

Congrats to UNT. They didn’t the refs to help them but they sure did their best

That freshman QB Padgett looks like he could really be a good one for Rice next year. He was pretty poised for his first start.

Wishful thinking on the bold. Our AD can't do math and doesn't realize that we have a worse record through this coach's first five seasons than the last one's. Progress!

UNT is in a similar situation. Many fans have been clamoring for a new coach, but Littrell still hangs on to his job. Even with the us playing in the title game next week, apathy has taken over and attendance has been horrible this season. Littrell still needs to go, but I have doubts about our AD pulling the trigger.

Definitely impressed me too. That said, if he and McMahon both return, there will be a real competition for the starting spot. And Day 1 starter Green could come back for another year, too.

I was very impressed with the Rice QB Padgett. He's a keeper and Rice will do very well with him. Just keep him away from the portal.
