CAA conference schedule
According to kenpom rankings as of right now, it looks like UNCW has the easiest schedule of the top 6 teams while Towson has the hardest. Towson has h/a series with 4 of the other to 6 teams and an away game at the 5th one. UNCW has only one h/a series with the other top 6 teams.

It's going to take some time to get used to a conference schedule that doesn't include every team with H/A games. 16 teams would create two divisions with every team in the division playing H/A games. I hope we get there.

Outside of Charleston and hopefully UNCW the southern schools are on the struggle bus this year

While we don't have hard divisons moving forward we will likely be playing the southern schools home and home while the northern schools once. In years like this that will definitely help us

Campbell will be a tough out starting next year.

I liked 10 teams with a balanced schedule. You don't need 16 to make divisions. With 14 teams, playing division opponents twice and teams in the other division once would be 19 games. One option is to do that, add a rival in the other division to play twice a season (the ACC does that for Football so pairs in different divisions like Florida State and Miami play every season), and go up to 20 CAA games. Conference USA made the end of the regular season have games that depend on the standings. Another option for a 20th game would be to rank teams within their divisions, and make the last game be against the team in the same position in the other division.

No surprises last night. First marquee game is Saturday with Charleston at Towson. Unfortunately we get SBU @ NU on CBSSN instead

If there's any concession, the COC/Towson game is on NBC Sports Washington so at least Towson is investing their TV dollars and many in the region will be able to watch.

Not a surprise that Aaron Estrada dropped 31 for HOF in Newark. He shoots well everywhere, but he must really like the sightlines in the Bob, as he's typically lethal there.

For Delaware, Martin Ingelsby falls to 3-14 vs. Hofstra overall and 1-7 at home vs. the Pride, if my math is right.

Hofstra has now won five straight in the series, 12 of the last 14 and 18 of the 21 meetings dating back to the 2014-15 season.

In three games against Delaware, Estrada averaged 27.3 points and shot field goals .604.

Today is the first time in a long time that the CAA had six day games, as the most recent time it could have happened is before Virginia Commonwealth left. I am excluding nonconference games. The schedule is:

Charleston at Towson at 12:00 P.M.
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast...?id=428610

Stony Brook at Northeastern at 12:00 P.M.
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast...?id=426951

North Carolina A&T at Hofstra at 1:00 P.M.
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=425817

Elon at Delaware at 2:00 P.M.
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast...?id=425085

William & Mary at Drexel at 2:00 P.M.
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=425146

Hampton at UNCW at 2:00 P.M.
