UMO thoughts
Fun game overall. Hodge was the surprise player of the day to me. Really good offensive skills-handles and shot presentation with good instincts and court awareness . Looked solid at PG today.

Farrar also had a nice night too. Hopefully these 2 guys will see more time.

Thomas was good again as was White. Ross was a solid glue guy today and Hayes had a better 2nd half.

Kelly was solid and Eric had his moments.

One thing that continues to baffle me is the usage of Newby. IMO ne has very little upside compared to others but he continues to pile up the minutes and led the team in minutes tonight.

I read that he pulled his groin in practice, Not sure the severity.

Mike and Marty said that he was under the weather tonight. Makes sense because it’s been going around.

RE: UMO thoughts
My take is that our younger guys are going to be good.

Fresh - Noah Ross 6'7, Hodge 6'7"
Soph - JThomas 6'0", Eric VanDH 6'9", Traz White 6'6", K McGriff 6'8"

There have been times when every player on the court was an underclassman and they looked good together. McGriff was a project player and he is starting to look really good. When they are juniors and seniors that wil be one hell of a roster.

One has to assume that Coach has seen things in practice that we have yet to see in games. Not much else makes much sense.

Shy said during warm-ups that he pulled a groin. Didn't say how bad it is. I'm thinking it was just a precaution to make sure he is ok for the Bahamas.

That would be the only thing that makes sense because the games have been less than impressive
