Maybe because some Navy and Marine pilots become astronauts? And most of those come through the Naval Academy?

USNA has produced more astronauts than any other school is the purpose.

That said, I am not a fan of this thing.

I thought there was only one Space U. I'm confused.

There's a school that produces astronauts, and a school that watches as they take off.

I don’t love it, TBH. The connection between NASA and Navy is definitely a thing, but feels weaker than a lot of other options.

Would have been cool to do a Combat Naval Aviator thing to take advantage of the Top Gun buzz.
