No bowl for rice? What do we do? Eat it off a banana leaf?!

As I understand it Rice is the last team in. I suspect ESPN sees the merit of keeping the Frisco Bowl in it's stable this year. Some have speculated it would be Rice vs. NMSU, which is a matchup that would likely fill that relatively small stadium. Regardless of which teams are chosen, it seems likely to hang on.

Buffalo winning and NMSU getting a waiver may keep Rice out of a bowl. Also, one of the Frisco bowl games was canceled. We're the first team out.

Why can’t NMSU play in the New Mexico Bowl? You might set a new attendance record there.

I really think we are “in”. Buffalo and NMSU bumps Auburn and UNLV. (The #2 and #3 APR teams).

Nothing official yet, just going by people on Twitter who should know.
