Monday Musings
The Footballing Eagles prove to be road Huron warriors winning their 2nd consecutive game in NE Ohio. Boise is calling, is Bloomington calling Creighton after the season?
The young Basketball Eagles came back to earth with a blow out loss in Peoria and an overtime loss in Oakland County Michigan. If we learn lessons from the road games I do not believe we will rue this week. The season comes down to 3 games in Cleveland March 9-11.
As a cold spell hit the US this weekend I was thankful for the amount of TV options for sporting events including MHSAA football. Maybe I am getting old but sitting in aluminium bleachers when it is 25 degrees out.. I am not a Fan...
Finally, with its narrow corridors mediocre concession stands, and diminutive bathrooms, Ford Field isn't the place to be this time of year.

Frankly I don't see Tom Allen getting dumped by Indiana this season. Hoosier football is definitely number two to basketball and the guy is under contract through 2027.

Indiana reminds me of EMU. No program history of success and Creighton and his protege' from Wabash, Allen gave their current programs a sense of relevancy. IU will stand pat unless a Matt Ruhle or Urban Meyer comes calling and I don't see that happening.

Allen has recruited well for an IU football coach and the team is still showing fight. Witness their double OT win against MSU. Yeah they aren't going to eat his contract.

Agree. They were actually relevant last season and he plays along the IU party line. It takes a special mentality to be in a conference that values football over everything, yet to work at a school that values basketball over all.

Dan, once again is on-point. Get rid of the divisions just like the PAC 12 and BIG 12 did.

I hope the B1G keeps divisions.

The West is a disaster but USC and UCLA will be to the rescue.

Wow could you imagine the MAC not having divisions this year? Ohio is in. Then you have Toledo, Buffalo, BGSU and EMU all at 5-3. The tiebreaker would be maddening.
