Which means I'd do better guessing the t he temps in 48197 on Dec. 21, the S&P next Friday, etc.

They tell me the only certainty are death, taxes and Russian elections. And maybe the outcome of porn films. Lol.

Fantastic.

I'm starting to thinking an EMU win today along with the outcome of Russian elections are nearly certainities.

For all the handwringing about CC and the program they got it done this year. Yep it was frustrating nail-biting and penalty filled and yet they won 8 games and the Michigan MAC trophy with two different QBs. Next goal is to win a bowl game. Kudos to Samson Evans and the offensive line for career rushing TDs and over 1000 yards. Jesus and Mitch made replacing Ryland and Julien look easy. This is a young team in many areas whose best football is ahead of them. So congrats to CC the coaches and players on a great year so far and let's win that bowl game.

Well said.

8 wins, 5-3 in the MAC, Michigan MAC trophy with resounding wins over WMU and CMU. Really good stuff. I wish Powell would have stayed healthy all year.

Nonetheless, our best season since 1987.

Let’s finish it out with a win in the Potato Bowl!

I'm with you guys 100%! This was the best win of the Creighton era, in my opinion.

I've been hyper-critical of the Neathery defense. but I must admit that the improvement this year has been nothing less than remarkable.

How great is it to look at the MAC West standings, see the top two teams at 5-3 and one of them is EMU?

I have been very supportive of CC all season and he paid it off. Outstanding year, give him a lifetime contract and let him grow and cultivate this program.

RE: @Game Week: CMU
What a great way to end the regular season! A totally dominating performance of Central (after totally dominating Western earlier in the year). I loved the balance of the offense, and on defense I thought we were ready for their rush attack and played with an edge.

It will probably always be hard for me to not think back on this season and think about the end of that Toledo game, but that aside this was a great season and a very good team! 8-4, co-MAC-west champs, Michigan MAC champs, and we have the best overall record in the MAC-west. I know my feelings don't matter, but I do feel like we are the best team in the MAC-west right now, and with Ohio's QB out we'd have a great chance at winning it....but oh well. I have to say, it was great to see how Neathery and staff were able to adjust and the D really played great the second half the year. Hopefully we can top it all off with a bowl win in what would be one of the best Eastern seasons ever.

With all the guys we [should] have coming back, along with one of the best recruiting classes ever coming in, I think we should all have high hopes for next season, especially if we can figure out our quarterback situation.

I think the experience that Austin Smith got this season is going to pay big dividends next season.

What's up with the central players and their behavior after the game? As they were heading into their locker room a few Central players wanted to go fight with Eastern players that were celebrating with the trophy. I get it that it's an emotional game and it got chippy at the end but there's no excuse for that. Reminiscent of the MSU/UM tunnel incident. McElwain didn't see it because he was one of the first ones in the locker room. Had a complete douchebag look on his face.

Creighton seemed to be pissed that his team took those penalties. He ripped the defense when they were on the sideline after they came off the field. At least he was trying to control and defuse the situation. McElwain...not so much.

Congratulations to Coach Creighton and Team on a fine season! Especially to Coach Creighton as this is his best record and first back to back winning season at EMU. And also especially to Samson Evans and the O-line, we had a very impressive running game this year.

Best of luck in the Bowl Game! Go EMU!!
