i know there's been some talk about this, with the FB team struggling, but is this a surprise at all to WVU fans?

Browns been the least successful coach at wvu since the late 1970s. It’s not just the hire but the extension and buyout that making firing Brown more difficult. If WVU didn’t beat Oklahoma on sat, brown would have likely been fired today too imo

Sometimes that isn't a bad thing. Frank Beamer sucked early on at VT and turned out to be a very good coach.
