As votes trickle in she is "coming from behind" to win.

Jist is votes were already cast (on time), they just hadn't been counted yet.

So unlike her idol The Donald, she wouldn't have wanted counting (mail ins for ex.) cut off after Election Day night or shortly thereafter.

Rest of column is about her background as a Gun Nut and bar-grill owner before being sent to Congress.
