I'm actually okay with that final, especially with how they started the game and then came out in the 2nd half. Never thought we'd win and kinda figured it'd be 20+ spread so keeping it to 18 is fine by me.

Nutter had a really good game. 18 pts, 15 rebounds (5 OFF), 1 assist. Messed around and got a double-double.

He's still got some things to iron out but he's going to be a steady backbone leadership guy on this team.

Agree - needed to win the 2nd half to take something away from this game. Nutter brings so much to the team with his athleticism and ability defensively, great addition to the roster.

Hope we can get an update on Niederhauser’s timeline, want to see what he can bring to the team.

Plan is he will be available come January.
Right now the Huskies have 3 legit scorers in Coit, Williams & Nutter. If Niederhauser can play interior D and be a 4th scoring threat things might get pretty interesting. I will be watching for his debut with anticipation. Meanwhile, you can see that Amos has huge upside, as he gets his college D1 legs watch out for him to be a key plus player IMO.

I was meaning to say something about Amos the other night but forgot.

He actually kind of impressed me in the GT game. He's clearly a freshman but he didn't back down and had a relatively good night against a bigger and more athletic team than his. He had a couple of nice takes to the basket and blocked a layup from behind on defense. He's showing glimmers of good stuff while not being intimidated by the level of play. How good he eventually is will be greatly enhanced with the playing time he's getting right now and hopefully staying healthy. Right now, he's like the 2nd or 3rd guy off the bench and that experience will build his game and confidence.

Coit, Nutter and Williams have been horrible at shooting so far this season. And you can add Amos to the list of terrible shooters so far this season. 3pt shooting is really bad, Free throw shooting has sucked and so has field goals. You can’t win if you can’t make shots.

If all of this is true, then this should be your last post because it is impossible to understand why you would continue to follow a team this bad.
Seriously, if you label four guys as terrible shooters, insist 3pt shooting is really bad, free throw shooting has sucked and so has field goals, and finally make the brilliant observation that you can't win if you can't make shots, then why bother following such losers?

I have attended every NIU basketball game since Patton arrived including all exhibition games. You make a good point! from attending all those home games it’s clear most people have stopped coming to games or paying attention to NIU basketball because of horrible shooting over that time span. Yes 57, horrible shooting while Monty was here and it certainly has continued. I’m also a Bears, Sox and Bulls fan should I give that up?because they’ve been as bad for many years just like NIU basketball

57, don’t really know what your point was or is? The team stats are available they keep records of the team and individuals you know that right? They show horrible shooting from 3 the field and the foul line and yes bad percentages for Coit, Amos, Nutter and Williams. They have played two D2 teams at home and at Georgia Tech who is preseason bottom pick in ACC
