You and Cow speak the truth.

8-4 record and Michigan MAC champs justify the year extension Creighton will get from this year's bowl appearance.

Last night may have been Coach's best performance of his EMU career considering the big comeback and how he held the lead. Terrific adjustments at the half and playing to win at the end instead of not to lose indicate to me that he is evolving to a degree.

At this point you are playing as much to impress bowl committees as you are to finish strong. An aggressive closeout to a game impresses more than sitting on a lead.

If we win and Toledo loses, are we MAC West Champs?

No. We'd finish with the same record and they won the head-to-head matchup.

Right!?!? Ok.
Same overall record, but the conference record.
My bad.

If EMU wins and Toledo loses, then the conference record will be tied at 5-3, and both would be considered Co-Champs of the MAC West formally. But Toledo will play in the conference championship because of the head-to-head tie breaker. Overall records do not matter (at least at that tie breaker level, but I think it does not matter ever).

Yes, I believe in 2016! Roback and Bailey I believe were the connection that day! I think that might be it though! Creighton might be 1-7 against CMU! That's just off memory!

He did beat Bono in the 2018 game as well. Piss poor performance as Wiegers fumbled away the first half lead but we did indeed win.

Right! But CC has never beaten Jim McElwain - he’s like CC for Tim Lester.

The “miracle worker” stuff gets so old. Chris Creighton has shown that you can win football games here, but I can’t stand the narrative from the outsiders that Chris Creighton is the “only” guy that can win football games here.

Anyway, please beat CMU. I was a student the last time we won the Michigan MAC trophy, and I’m starting to see some Factory Gray hairs in my beard now, to put that into perspective. 8-4 and the trophy is a heck of a year. Let’s finish strong!

Yeah, he's 2-6 against CMU. Should be 3-5, we really blew the game in 2020 if you remember that game.

Another of Coach's throttling back with the lead losses. Unlucky interception and we let one get away again.

This game is BIG. Coach gets the McElwain monkey off his back along with his best record yet at EMU.

Creighton's body of work at EMU so far is impressive. He has accomplished things no other EMU football coach has achieved. Period.

Yep. We had three trips to the red zone (two getting inside the 10 I believe) and had to settle for field goals on all of them.

Agreed sir. He’s not a savant or a schematic genius, but he’s shown that it’s possible to go .500 at little ole EMU.

Hey some of you can use whatever metrics you wish to belittle what CC has accomplished here, but again he will probably be known as the best EMU football coach in the school's history. Every EMU football coach that comes after him will only build on CC's foundation and his culture. (hopefully) along with the SAPC.

Amen and he's done it with class, dignity, a great public image and WITHOUT one foot out the door. He has been an absolute gift to this program.
