A bit of light on the rough past few weeks on football. It seems like they are expanding the field house again. Seems to add another big team room, and lounge/dining area.

It was constructed way back when to be able to support adding a second floor. That is if your spelling of 'rough' was intended for the word 'roof.'

I was just using figure of speech in reference to something cool to the bad end of the season.However, It seems to be expanding outwards into the parking lot, instead of up. I can't tell for sure how the outside will look, but they had some drawings of new rooms being added on the fence I saw when I drove by yesterday.

About that, I saw something interesting where the old pool used to be in wisdom gym. Seems to be a laid down 20-30 yard indoor turf field with the word Texans on it.

Most likely a field for the cheerleaders/dancers or for a weight room.

However, I agree practicing on the game field isn't ideal. Need something better than that.

We need both an indoor and outdoor practice facility.

I’m definitely thinking that’s it’s more of a dance/Cheer thing, as it is an extremely small turf field. If there would be an indoor I’d imagine it’d be closer to the new track and soccer field.

I think that the old pool will be used more for strength and conditioning type stuff given the proximity to the weight room. I have heard that there are some very early talks going on for an indoor football facility. I just wonder where it would go, because we are just about out of land in any area near the stadium.

Quite possible for it to be a weight room thing. I did hear something about a new weight room too. Also if they did do an indoor I’d assume it’d be somewhere near the Rec center, in a parking lot, or somewhere connected to another expansion when they inevitably do the old home side.

Indoor practice facility is not needed. But if they are going to spend the money on it than the solution would be to build an indoor soccer stadium ( where current soccer field is) that doubles as a practice facility.
