BYU football will be young and rebuilding for their 1st year in the Big 12
They released the "potential" list of honorees for senior night this week and it includes 15 seniors who have exhausted their eligibility and 22 players who could have eligibility remaining.

The list includes the starting QB, 4 OL starters, top 2 RBs, the kicker, and their 2 top WRs. It also includes 20 defensive players. It is sounding like it could be a rougher introduction than we'd like. 04-jawdrop

Is BYU ever "young" with 2-year missions.

BYU's big advantages are having players two year older, playing home games at Rocky Mountain high, and playing "dirty".

uc has had a lot of good, quality guys back, but, still, coming off of 9 guys being drafted this year, there's been adjustments and room for growth. hopefully, the 'cats are going through it this year, to be in a better position next year.

Those who do missions are 2 years older--and the average age on the team for 2022 is 21.78. If they stick around as a senior, it is because their NFL prospects aren't good or they haven't put together healthy years yet. What freaks me out though is there are only 5 guys categorized as Juniors (due to covid) who will be back only 1 of which played regularly. The others average less than 4 games this year and played mostly on special teams. Some of the other juniors might come back but those who are "seniors" on the team next year will be very few and far between. Maybe "inexperienced" is a better word than "young".
