It truly is and the architecture is terrific.

If it looked like the I.P. facilities at some other major programs, it would appear that a giant brown shoebox had just been dropped down alongside Jefferson Avenue. Instead it's a dynamic looking structure on what has for years been a pretty uninspired southeast entrance to our campus. If recruits have already seen these renderings, along with walking through Nippert, and seeing the rest of campus, they should be very excited.

Being a Bearcat just keeps getting better.

They could have made this ordinary and look like they used value engineering, but what I see here does not. If the end product looks as cool as the renderings, someone done good.

RE: IPF
It looks like half a field. Plus an adjacent weight room. Is that correct, or are my eyes deceiving me?

Not to complain, but that doesn't seem like enough space for 116 players and 11 coaches to get in a full practice simultaneously.

Looks like a full field to me, but only has one goalpost.

The press release says it’s a 120 yard field.

Stunningly beautiful. They knocked that design out of the park.

I'm overjoyed that the Sheakleys are still the main movers on this! I was originally worried when they announced that the IPF was going in on the Sheakley Commons, but the fact that the Sheakleys are still on top of this is huge.

The IPF totally needs the Sheakley name on it in BIG letters.

Good riddance. My son just moved out of Dabney and even thou he lived on the 5th floor, when you walked through the hallway it felt like you were in an old run down building basement. There's a reason its nickname is "dirty Dabney".

Looks like it's south of Calhoun which is actually OUTSIDE of campus. So it sounds like this development will actually expand campus which is nice.
The footprint certainly seems small for 4 dorms but I guess student housing doesn't take up that much space. Hopefully they won't tear down any old buildings to make space.

Once complete I hope they build some kind of pedestrian bridge across the Vine/Calhoun intersection.

Ah yes...Burgundy's. Dear Lord. Faint memories during my slosh, er, frosh year in Daniels Hall and walking down to the corner (McMillan and Vine) and getting totally slonkered with my buds. We only spent a few bucks during the Friday early, early bird happy hours. That was when the beer goggles made a "1 or 2" female into a "9 or 10" Cinderella LOL. Freegin' youth but what the heck...
