Time for coach Bo to go!
I think it is time to move on from coach Bo and the TO. Who should we get to be the next head coach?

Move to FBS is an excellent time for a coaching change.

JSU went out and got a name coach with FBS head coaching experience.

KSU should do the same. Does NOT have to be a "name". Just a lot of success at FBS.

IMHO.

RE: Time for coach Bo to go!
It absolutely breaks my heart. Bo built this program. But if we lose to EKU next week, I think I agree. The new rule is such nonsense. NCAA killed a beautiful offense only a handful of teams run anyway. I always hoped bo would keep building this until he either retired or took a bigger job and we could just promote Chandler Burks.

If they move on from Bo, they need to absolutely nail this hire. We've recruited well enough I don't think transitioning to a different offense will be that tough for us, especially with the portal. I think we've got skill position talent that will translate. Might need to portal in some at TE, and o-line. Maybe at QB too if we go air raid or something like that, but I think murph plugs into most offenses assuming he decides to stay as a super senior.

100% agree. Cannot bring this mess to C-USA.

Shouldn't be too hard to find a decent "name" willing to take the job. It will be a challenge to move the program up to FBS but they have a lot of upside with the good recruiting area.

It is time for coach Prime! Hahaha just kidding. That would just be funny because then all Jackson States pretend FBS hopes and dreams would be crushed..

We need Dan Mullen or WVU coach to come to KSU

That would actually not be a bad deal.

RE: Time for coach Bo to go!
I find it hard to believe mullen would have any interest in ksu. His only significant experience is at P5 schools. I think we want someone that proved they can do it at smaller programs in the south and are failing after taking the step up or assistants who have experience in the fcs to G5 transition looking for their first head coach shot.

If we move on from Bo, I think Willy Korn from coastal is a guy to look at. He was part of their transition that went great. He brings a modern option offense with him that should transition smoothly with our existing talent.

We need to get away from the option. We need a coach that can recruit 2, 3, and some 4 stars to KSU. WVU coach Matt Brown is about to get fired and he had experience as a head coach a Troy. When he was at Troy, he led Tory to multiple SBC championships. Luke Fickell offensive coordinator Gino Guidugli comes in mind. We need a OFFENSIVE minded coach.

Some folks just want to be the head guy. Look at Gus at UCF.

Mullen would be a home run hire and make C-USA much more interesting.

Do you really think they’ll fire him after one down season? I doubt it.

The TO is not subsumable. I am hoping Navy calls him. Half his original staff is at Navy.

Mullen won at Mississippi State, which is a G5 in a P5's body.

RE: Time for coach Bo to go!
I think there is a better chance that Coach Bo gets a new job than there is a chance of him being fired. It's looking more and more like the Navy job comes open and I'm sure a guy with clout at Navy like Paul Johnson would push hard for Bo..

As far as who would replace Bo if the seat was vacant? Better set your sites lower than Dan Mullen. He likely gets another P5 or higher end G5 shot this offseason. The 1st call I would make would be to Bill Clark and see if he is ready to coach again after retiring for back surgery last summer. After that I would look to one of the great recruiters at UGA, either Dell McGee or Bryan McClendon..Both have expressed a desire to run their own programs, and both would kill it in recruiting and transfer portal signings. If you feel you have to have a bigger name retread type, Muschamp and Bobo are also both great recruiters in GA who may want a last shot at success. I actually think Kennesaw State would be a pretty desirable job considering the built in recruiting base and opportunity to succeed.. Remember, you can't really judge a failed P5 coach at a G5. Rich Rodriguez looks like a great hire at JSU after being not so great at Michigan and Arizona..It's all about fit..

Deion will eventually get a P5 chance if he wants it. Doubt he would settle for an interim gig. And Bobby Petrino might get tarred and feathered if he returned to GA after the way he left the Falcons..lol

Looks like Petrino will be the new OC at A&M.

And he had already taken the same job at UNLV before that. It seems like he wants to be back in FBS even if he isn't a head coach.
