All right fellas, time to get this non-D1 game out of the way.

Allen makes the trip tonight from Columbia, SC. We last faced the Yellow Jackets, now a D2 school, in 2018. We won that one 113-74.

With the trip to Oklahoma coming up on Tuesday hopefully we can expand the bench tonight.

Seahawk starting 5 tonight is the same at it was in the exhibition contest and @ UNC:

PG - Phillips
G - Newby
W - Harden-Hayes
F - White
C - Kelly

Allen rolling with a more conventional 2-guard lineup from the looks of it. Their Center is 6-8 and they have a SF and PF in their lineup that are each 6-7.

This is Allen's first game of the season, coming off a 6-20 campaign last year.

Their next game? Monday at....Claflin!

Trazerian already 2-2 from 3. Not bad for a junkball scorer who isn't a great shooter, lol.

The rout is on. And-1 for Trazerian (and made FT) makes it 22-4.

White has 11 points on 4-4 shooting so far. Kelly has 8 points and is 4-4 as well.

10 Seahawks have already seen the floor. I like that.

We also have 7 team assists already. I like that even more.

I know it’s Allen, but I love this strong start. We are clearly more athletic and taller, but last year we struggled against Guilford College.

Hawks' defense is really bad tonight. Allen shooting 53% and 40% from three.

Some defensive lapses are allowing Allen to keep this within 20. Per Vaccaro, Siddle not too pleased about that.

The offense is humming, however. We're 14-21 from the field (.667), 5-10 from 3, and 3-3 from the line. We have 9 assists, 4 offensive rebounds, 14 points in the paint, 8 points off turnovers, and 6 fast-break points. Just 3 turnovers. 8 different Seahawks have scored so far.

Defense has tightened up since the last media. Allen hasn't made a shot from the field in the last 4:09.

Hawks up 45-19.

McGriff is the 11th player to enter for the Hawks in the 1st half. I'll be curious to see if Farrar becomes # 12 before long.

Is Farrar injured? The Games Notes listed his DNP against UNC as “Coach’s decision.” Surprised he hasn’t played yet.

Allen finally snaps a 5+ minute stretch without a made field goal.

On the other end, Van Der Heijden with his 4th three of the half!

50-22 Hawks, 2:42 in the half.

VanDH has a SMOOTh stroke from three. He's going to be able to light it up on the kick out and keep defenses from cheating on the drive.

3 players (White - 15, Van Der Heijden - 12, Kelly - 10) are already in double figures.

We're +6 in turnover margin, +9 on the glass, and are up to 11 team assists.

He made an appearance in the exhibition game. I don't believe he's hurt. He appears to be buried deep on the bench at the moment.

Hmmm interesting. Defensive issues? Because he is a lights out shooter, something we were really lacking last year. Siddle seemed high on him in some Podcast I heard.

Maybe EVH took his spot in the rotation?
