RE: Game Thread: JMU(5-3) at ODU(3-6) 11/12 1:00 PM Eastern
I like ODU fans. They have more sports savvy than most college fanbases. It is unfortunate that their football team sucks because I think they deserve better. At least they have a puncher’s chance at home this weekend if they can get +3 in the turnover battle. You never know, sometimes teams get lucky.
I would have traded their OOC schedule for JMU’s in a heartbeat.
Vs Va Tech
At UVA
Vs Liberty
At East Carolina.
Dukes get revenge with a bunch of FCS players that overwhelm the big, bad FBS roster of Old Dominion.

Enjoy your time in Norfolk. I recommend eating some wonderful eastern shore oysters during your visit. That will set you up nicely for being salty as hell after yet another defeat at the hands of the school that you have never defeated on the gridiron. Your MRD's, and banners, and purple barney identifying as a man mascot, and grit-eating goober truckstop fans can all have a miserable ride back to the mothership Truckstops of America off of I-81 in Harrisonburg. Word has it that those Mexican wool blankets so popular in Portland and Seattle are on sale for 2 for $30, and cheaper when you buy some fentanyl. Might make a nice gift for the Mrs. knowing Festivus is approaching. If you cannot improve on the dirt floor of your living room, at least Mama Goober can be warm while watching reruns of the Beverly Hillbillies. And don't get so bent that you, again, resort to raping chickens at the dozens of chicken kill plants near campus (oh, love the smell of poultry death and dismemberment). Be well, our dentally-challenged buddies.

We rape turkeys, not chickens and by rape in this context, I mean humanely kill the turkeys so fat people can more easily eat 4,000 calorie meals

15ish years ago, a turkey was violated, the "r" word at a local company facility, not kidding. I believe the repugnant event took place in a PA facility.
The aggressor acted on a bet for a few dollars and two almost full cans of Skoal.
Howard Stern talked about it for weeks... The PR spokesperson the company needed therapy after the event made national news.
Chances are good the aggressor was part of a work/parole agreement created to help Tidewater VA youth get out of the Hampton Roads area for the first time and that the aggressor only needed 60-80 more undergrad credits to graduate from Old Dominion University.
All gone for two almost full cans of Skoal and forever being part of turkey humping folklore

For anyone coming to the game, my tailgate group is hosting our third annual toys for tots collection drive. If you’d like to take part, we’re collecting new unwrapped toys during the tailgate. Both collection sites will be near the stadium, one on 49th next to silver lot and the other in the blue lot. We have also arranged for an AAV to be parked on 49th street and for 2 F18s to flyover pregame. If you prefer to donate cash, we will have ODU ROTC members walking the silver, black and blue lots with ammo cans. See the attached tweets for all the details. We’d love it if ODU and JMU came together big time to make Christmas special for all kids in Hampton Roads. Finally, if you’re wanting to tailgate and don’t have a place to do it, come find us in the blue lot. All are welcome. We’re near the tennis courts. Look for our Monarchists sign.

Does two weeks of home field advantage count as momentum? Got to believe the buses will be carrying a good head of steam downhill on I-64 too. So it’s clearly a tie.

I’m leaving for the game soon and won’t be back until it’s over. I don’t think our offense is going to have what it takes today. Congrats on the win JMU.

Get ready to get manhandled by a FCS call up team. Going to dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides.ODU can only hope for 4 prayer bombs over the top to keep it close.
