RE: If the Fresno stuff is true
I expect Fresno would strictly be a back up option.

And ESPN and fox are willing to offer the big12 the equivalent money for games in the late night window then I say take whoever fit with the b12 culture and reasonably competitive, p5 or g5. We would need about 3-4 adds in addition to byu have at least 2 games a weekend to choose from.
As long as the average payout doesn’t decrease of course.
Edit:
Let’s say the pac stays together and goes 100% streaming. BY and ESPN talk and agree to a package of games for the late night window, say 120M. That means 4 g5 teams. Who would/ should we take?
SDSU, FSU, BSU, and ?
currently other than earning more money for EXISTING members the Big 12 NEEDS NOTHING
the Big 12 especially does not need long term adds that will struggle with finances and long term competitiveness and make the Big 12 less attractive to others in the future
the Big 12 took enough or a risk on one new member especially already no need for more
The Big 12 didn't take any risks, ESPN and Fox pushed for all four of rhe new schools and paid for all four of the new schools. Even gave the conference a significant raise.
actually that is not true one school was not going to get an invite until their major donor went around blowing politicians in Texas
ESPN and Fox were certainly not "pushing for them"
Houston got in the Big 12 the same way Tech did. You’re still being a coward and not telling everyone that you’re a Tech fan?

how about playing a few seasons with the new contract and letting some of these "with P5 money" programs actually put fans in the stands, improve facilities, and win in the conference they are in now on a LONG TERM consistent basis like TCU did before just tossing them a bone and being stuck with them forever
UC sell out all games except the once-a-year FCS where we sell 90-95%.
Plans are under consideration to increase seating to 45-50K
UH is the drag on attendance.
The BB arena recently had a $85 million redo. An indoor permanent FB facility will soon replace the Bubble Facility.
Houston’s attendance will be fine. I believe every home game this season has been a sellout. Although if you’re the Cincy fan that goes around lying about the FC being half full at most then I’m sure facts won’t matter to you.

Please post the audited figures. UH basketball arena holds a robust 7,100. Come on man, that is a high school arena! You have a great basketball team but downsize the arena to 7,100.

A New York lawmaker, Jerrold Nadler (D), called and asked, ''Do airlines put your physical description on your bag so they know whose luggage belongs to whom?''
I said, “No, why do you ask?”
he replied, ''Well, when I checked in with the airline, they put a tag on my luggage that said (FAT), and I'm overweight. I think that's very rude!''
After putting him on hold for a minute, while I looked into it. (I was dying laughing). I came back and explained the city code for Fresno, Ca. is (FAT - Fresno Air Terminal), and the airline was just putting a destination tag on his luggage.
yeah that's fiction.
