RE: LIBERTY @ UCONN
It's amazing how hard it is to avoid a game like this over a season. Seems to always sting you at some point.

Rotating QBs backfired, upwards of 10 points, between the fumble and score and then bringing him in on a red zone package when Bennett had all the momentum and we had to settle for 3. He looked like a fish out of water and hasn't played since ODU. TJ green did good the first 3 quarters, but beng short shredo and hunter really hurt us. Freeze confirmed in the post game what I was seeing as well, he got really fatigued in the 4th and just couldn't pick up 1st downs when he should have. Also short our two starting LBs, one of which was ejected for a late hit targeting that gifted them another 7. Regardless, the defense only gave up 300 or so yards, but man they looked bad vs the previous weeks.

Offense needed to step up for once while the D is struggling and failed. Also, going for it on 4th and 2 on our own 40 when we are up by 5 with 8 minutes, not sure about that one. Worst announcers I've ever heard, while I'm erring grievances.

I am not surprised by this outcome at all. It’s a game we shoulda/coulda won, but as HCHF said, UConn wanted it more and you could tell by the play on the field and the final score.

At least we lost to a decent bowl eligible team. The bad part is we lost to a team with a winning record. We gotta win those kind of games to be taken seriously.

W S. Miss 5-5
W UAB 5-5
L Wak Forest 6-4
W Akron 1-9
W ODU 3-7
W UMass 1-9
W GW
W BYU 5-5
W Arkansas 5-5
L UConn 6-5
— Va. Tech 2-8
— N.M. State 4-5

RE: LIBERTY @ UCONN
Kudos to UConn. They played harder and wanted the win more. Good teams like LU need to learn from this loss. It is always easy to win. It is much harder to learn to win on a consistent basis. Seems the coaches did all they could do and the players did not respond. LU today feels a little like Arkansas after LU's victory after a poor game against UConn.
