RE: Social Media
The fact that we use hawkyeah in almost every social media post on Twitter shows how intentional it is on our behalf to brand with that slogan. It was never good. To carry it on this long is another issue of mine. About as corny as it gets. Another example of how out of touch the department is with stuff like this.

I know it’s a total b!tch fest for me today. But I’m just telling the truth. Love the hawks. This stuff is easily addressable with little cost to the program.

Did we light a fire? Very nice. Keep pushing creativity and improving content. This should be on the Twitter account as well.

"Hawk Yeah" seems like someone's attempt to come up with a snappy slogan that UNCW fans would pick up and do something with (as in, say UNCW player dunks a ball and then fans turn and high-five each other a say "Hawk Yeah!" to each other).

Nothing wrong with throwing an idea against the wall to see if it sticks, but after years of throwing that lame hashtag out I have never heard of anyone actually using it or thinking that it's particularly clever.

I actually think it’s a bit cheesy and lame, but I can see why some people like it.

With a Seahawk mascot we really don't have a lot to work with and trying to make Teal work as a color isn't easy either. Hawk Yeah! isn't that bad based on the limitations and it is easy to remember.

RE: Social Media
Not social media but I will say that our game production has improved dramatically over the past few years. Multiple camera angles that zoom in and out appropriately, nice graphics about players who are mentioned during the game and replay capability that isn't ruined by ads. It's simple, easy to watch and enhances the game watching experience. And of course the commentary during the game is exceptional.

That sideline reporter though...... whoaaaa, how does one think it would be a good idea to bring her back?

Lol, it is a college production....

Also noticed they don't keep the score and game clock on the screen very much. No reason that shouldn't be there all the time.

I get it. If she's the best we have to offer............ someone really needs to say" Maybe this sideline reporting thing isn't for you" sheesh!
Agree about the score

"Isn't that bad" is like complimenting someone by saying, "Gee, for a fat lady you don't sweat so much".

There is an entire university full of people who could come up with dozens ideas (at no cost) that would be better than that.

They do the wings up sign when we do something good. I'd like to use talons in some kind of slogan.

Agree. There has to be something better. We’ve had that slogan for way too long. Find something organic and branded towards our mentality and style of play. Maybe inspired by a sound bite from Siddle, our radio guys, the players.

Or just drop it altogether without a permanent replacement for now. I don’t care.

I find that more annoying than some chick that sounds like she filled her mouth with marshmallows and can’t think quickly. I will say, yes it’s a college production, but don’t we have a very solid communications dept? You telling me they can’t find someone with more talent than that?! I don’t believe that for a second.

RE: Social Media
Is it the same person every game? Or are different students assigned and graded for what they do as part of their class work?

I’m 99.9% certain it’s the same person, and she did it last year too.

I don't think it's the same girl as last year unless she changed he look dramatically.

The girl I saw a couple times last year at the games was a knock out with very tight fitting outfits. The girl I saw at the game the other night was cute, but not nearly as tall or as confident looking.
