Rivalries are grown naturally not just created with a trophy. The USF/ UCF rivalry grew thru time and location it never needed a trophy for fans to care about winning those games even when the institutions didn’t want to acknowledge it.
If a rivalry between FAU and USF develops it will be thru time and playing each other, it won’t need a trophy nor the schools to acknowledge it.

FAU is a fine school, but USF doesn't want a rivalry with FAU.

If one develops in time then so be it.

What has happened to USF. USF went from a Big East rivalry with West Virginia to now this. Don't reply, I know what has happened to USF.

Whether they do or don’t won’t make a difference for most fans, I mean that has only existed for less than 10 years. More important things to focus and cheer about than this. But unless you know the future, forever is a long time.

Maybe the middle holes were the easier ones. Regardless… UCF is taking control of this. Somebody must have mentioned the Bulls we’re making a run and Knights kicked it back in gear up 11 and now up 1 on the day!

Bulls and UCF now both -5 on the day (trailing only SMU -8 who’s looking to walk away with the AAC title)

Edit: Are you sure about the 6-1 football trophy edge. I seem to remember USF beating UCF twice in the Taggart/Flowers era. Once during your winless season and once during Milton's first year. Or was that before the trophy started.

Yup, trophy started in 2016 in Taggart’s final season.

Taggart also won in 2015, but that was before the trophy started.
