It’s common sense. Why would Seattle, Cal Baptist, GCU, and UVU want to add a horrible basketball program? Why would the Texas schools agree to add them if they didn’t need them?

Football schools wanted them added. It’s common sense, no matter what you want to believe. And everyone agreed to it.

Not SFA. I don’t know how to keep telling you, but their athletic department does not like them. Period.

UIW athletes have posted their grievances to social media. That’s why SFA does not like them. The left the SLC to escape schools like them. I don’t know why you say they want them. No one in the school, AD or fans were happy with it.

WAC doesn't have enough FB teams to form a FCS conference, so they have to pair up with the ASUN. UIW, a school in TX with FB wants to join the WAC. But SFA doesn't want them and votes to keep them out because UIW athletes post grievances on social media. And we know all of this because of a UTA fan. Seems legit...

It is amazing how literally some of you posters are. This has nothing to do with a social media post, and everything to do with how UIW treats it’s athletics - which was made public by a social media post. It shouldn’t be that hard to understand.

UIW would have lowered the conference in every other sport. That is not something SFA’s athletic department is about or wanted.

Yes, their other sports suck. Which is precisely why schools like Seattle, GCU, and UVU would not suggest them for membership. It was done by football schools. UIW and McNeese State were voted in because of football, spearheaded by football teams. Of which, SFA is one of them. Maybe SFA was the “only 1” who was against adding UIW, in the end, they still voted them in.

Football drives the bus. In order of importance in sports, fb is 1, 2 and 3. It’s all about fb. None of the other sports matter. NMSU sucks at fb. We are a basketball school. I’m still smart enough to know it’s all about fb. It shouldn’t be that hard to understand.
