Last weekend sucked. I'm still mad about it. However, it's time to look forward.

Have you guys seen the weekend forecast in Harrisonburg? 70 degrees on Saturday. Mostly Sunny. 100% chance of purple Kool-Aid everywhere you look.

It's Homecoming week.

Marshall is coming to a sold-out Bridgeforth Stadium.

It's gonna be a time. Let's talk about it! I wasn't impressed with what I saw against Marshall Wednesday night. They might be hungry coming into this game, maybe even desperate. At face value and through my purple sunglasses though, I feel bad for Marshall because I think we might absolutely rage on them. I'll be excited to see how the Dukes players and coaches respond this week. Give me the Dukes by 40.

Marshall seems to have fallen off a cliff after the ND win, the Dukes are the greatest football team of all time, Bridgeforth will possibly be better than ever, and JMU will be fired up to bounce back from last week. Dukes by over 9,000.

I was only able to listen to the 1st 2 1/2 qtrs vs GSU, and watched most of the 4th quarter, so I might have missed some of the injuries.

Injury report? As far as starters I know lost Kidwell at OT and Jackson at LB to injury vs GSU..

Plus were missing one of the 2 deep DL and both backup corners vs GSU. That hurt. Starters were gassed and big drop off to 3rd teamers..

Cignetti said that Saturday Black broke his finger a few weeks ago and has been an emergency RB. Said he was hoping he would be back soon. Perhaps he's back this week, but most likely for Louisville as he'll have an extra week to heal.

It sounds like Marshall will bring 1,000 plus fans. Hopefully that keeps everyone in their seats the whole game.

It's been a while since we've had a lot of the visiting team's fans at a game.
I welcome it.... as long as we are doing our part.

Good point raised on TwitterSpace last night that Marshall will travel very well and may be the biggest visiting team we've had in BFS since (?)... ever? Good for rivalries and such, but when they start that We Are Marshal crap, we need to drown that out. J-M-U, or Go-Dukes on repeat.

Marshall will be desperate for a victory, and spoiling JMU’s homecoming will be vindication that the win over ND wasn’t just a fluke.

This game (after the disappointment of last Saturday’s loss and negation of JMU’s top 25 ranking) will be the biggest game of the year for the Dukes. Our team better have their heads clear and focused to play their A game.

I hadn't heard that about the corners. But watching the game, I don't recall seeing Austin or Coakley at all. Logan, Swann were out there a ton. Feel like I saw Jarius Reimonenq lined up in some one on one matchups as well.

And speaking of being gassed, wonder how Carpenter feels at the end of a game? I saw Sean Johns come in for a few plays, but Carpenter had to be out there for 90-95% of the defensive snaps.

I hold no ill will towards Marshall—quite the contrary—but I hope we beat the living bejeezus out of them. Have we lost two games in a row under Cig?

Indeed.
Hence why FBS is so much better than FCS. The regular season is so much more important as most of the opponents are worthy and succeeding wins elevate the importance of games later in the season.
My fandom is greater than ever and this is just the transition season.
Next year will be better.
The year after that will be even better if the CFP fast tracks the 12 team playoff to 2024.
