Big 12 likely to go divisionless

Also, about the exit fees that get talked about
Quote:Leaving a year early would require the two schools to pay a cumulative, estimated price tag of more than $100 million. The schools already owe the league a mandatory exit fee of $80 million each. The exit fee, stemming from an agreement they made years ago, is required even if they stay through the grant of rights. However, officials are in the midst of on-going negotiations over the exit fee.

I always thought a deal will get worked out on GOR so they can leave in 24. Personally, I like divisions, but understand why B12 might not want to do them.

On side not UCF beat Temple 70 to 13 tonight.

Great game for UCF. I really liked the space unis.

Also, looks like Baylor can't break their Morgantown curse.

Also OUT - How about no?

It will be HARD to land one of the 2 top spots in a 14 team conf just to get to the conf championship...but this also ensures the 2 conf teams with the best conf record land in that game, which is what the conf and TV networks want in the end.

With 4 team playoff divisonless is the way to go. Could hurt you if playoff goes to 12 teams. If you ended season with 2 teams in same division ranked in top 8 and you make them play each other on will knock the other out.

Arguably would not have happened last year. Even if Baylor lost, they’d have stayed above BYU.

The plan is for each Big 12 school to basically have five double plays and four single plays during the two years.

I'd personally make sure all the Texas schools play each other, all the old Big 8 schools play each other, and UC, WVU and UCF play each other and then sort out the rest from there. Add Tech as a double play for OSU, add BYU as a double play for Baylor and go from there.[/b]
