RE: Former Rocket BBallers in the Pros
ryan comes off the injured list right onto the active roster. plays most of a 4th quarter blowout against his old team. has a +10 with 7 pts on 4 shots a block assist board no TOs. all nets a buzzer three to cover the spread. he's been a garbage time all star this season. if he can stay healthy will probably get a chance in the rotation for a lousy wizards team trying to create trade value out their current roster.

This week may be Ryan’s real NBA trial. The Wiz have 4 home games in 6 days starting tonight with a back to back. Expect him to get some meaningful minutes and hopefully earn more.

Tough to hear about another knee injury. Still wonder how a healthy Edu would have affected our last 3 teams in the MAC tournament.

RE: Former Rocket BBallers in the Pros
Rollins still not getting much of a look w the Wizards. They sent him with the Go Go (best nickname in pro hoops) to play at Maine (Celtics) for a Friday G League game. Saw the extended highlights in front of a packed house and Ryan went for 25 in 23 minutes (9 for 12 shooting) with some steals assists and a highlight block plus low turnovers. He took over a close game late and basically dominated crunch time. I'm sure there's some NBA scouts around the league keeping an eye on him if the Wizards don't stick w him or want to include him in the inevitable Jordan Poole trade. Saw a blurb on a Wizards fan site on him which noted he has the highest statistical metric of all NBA players, granted it's all based on garbage time action.

wow. he still has this yr and half of next season's salary guaranteed. but someone else might pick him up.
I'd say his so far brief career (a long with that of Jason Preston) validates my point that he should have waited before entering the draft. it can be really tough on second round picks to get playing time and show what they can do. if Ryan had returned to UT and played himself into a 1st rounder he would have had a lot more investment from the team and would have got PT. Bilal Coulibaly the Wizards 1st rounder has been a flop but the Wiz keep playing him hoping they won't look like they blew the pick.

I don’t agree with this, what if he returns and gets hurt, doesn’t have a good year? Ryan won for all I care. To get drafted out of toledo and secure a guaranteed contract as a 2nd rounder, still only 21 years old. And from Twitter looks like he might of been let go because of off the court issues, and even as a first rounder theirs no guarantee in this league, Johnny Davis wizards top 10 pick last year barely plays, also rollins stats are better

I skimmed through twitter and saw no mention of "of the court issues." Most Washington fans seem to be upset about this and didn't want him cut.

Johnny Davis got 22 million guaranteed, Ryan got 3. Rollins stats are better but Davis is on the team and Rollins is not. Ryan went to the NBA and got hurt before his first game and missed most of his first yr (as did Preston). Last year's UT team was loaded. If Ryan had stayed and both he and the team had a big year he is a 1st round pick with Johnny Davis type money and job security. Far more players go pro too early and never peak at that level than stay an extra year in college to develop, get hurt, and never get a chance.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan gets picked up, if not off waivers then on a 10 day or 2 way contract once he clears.
