Post week 6 POWER RANKINGS
1. (+1) Toledo- 2 convincing MAC wins with tie breaker score vs. UMass to EMU.
2. (+1) UB- The hottest team! Only 2nd because Holy Cross. Knock that ball down and UB would have some real buzz.
3. (+1) Miami- Beat Kent and just barely lost to UB last week.
4. (+2) EMU- Best OOC win and owned WMU on their turf. ULL loss compared to SDSU is why they arent 1. This bunching is close!
5. (-4) Kent- Key tiebreaker loss. They need to beat UT next weekend.
6. (+1) Ohio- Still hate the defense but the offense is fun as hell!
7. (-2) WMU- Tiebreaker over BSU, but dont deserve any higher.
8. (=) Ball State- Won 2 very close games to squads that #1 handily beat.
9. (=) CMU- WTF
10.(=) NIU- Have been in every game, but 1.
11. (=) BG- At home, 7 pts?
12. (=) Akron- Still relatively competitive

RE: Post week 6 POWER RANKINGS
Our offense is regressing and wasted a fine defensive effort yesterday. Not to mention our continued -- and unexpected -- placekicking woes.

RE: Post week 6 POWER RANKINGS
Also, looking at your rankings, Miami's last 6 games are all against the bottom 7 teams ( we miss Central). Another way of looking at it is that we have played our 5 toughest opponents already. We do, however, have quite a few injuries and guys banged up but still playing. Backup QB Aveon Smith is progressing, and has shown himself to be smart, tough, and an excellent leader. Our best defensive player, Ryan Wood, is playing with a broken hand and his hand is so bandaged that it is more than twice the size of normal. He is still making a ton of tackles though. He did miss the Buffalo game and had hand surgery that week.
