Weak questions from the media this morning for the morning press conference.

That makes me feel a little better I guess. Like I hope to God the conference wouldn't allow that kind of performance from a seasoned ref, but I'm sure they would bc its a sh!t conference.

He stumbled over his words repeatedly, messed up the downs, didn't know how to turn his mic on/off properly, and the missed call on the first "TD" was egregious.

He has a future as a late-night DJ. Every time he spoke I expected him to end with and we've got looove all night long.

Yeah the way he spoke and announced the downs would've been comical if it wasn't so awful.

How about the game production? The down and distance was wrong the entire game. They even got the score wrong. High schools do a better job.

Whats that have to do with the hit before halftime?
Mismanagement of the clock and time outs?
Playcalling?

I'll give you the peace sign and roughing the passer helmet hit.
We had 12 penalties for 116 yards. Rice had 10 penalties for 75 yards.

Yes that was totally awful too, but I think those people are at least doing it for free, right?

Somebody actually paid that ref good money for that sh!t show on Saturday.

It has nothing to do with how dumb our team and coaching staff was Saturday. He was an awful ref even if we had ZERO penalties

Not true. He was a C-USA official last season and maybe the season before. He was also the white hat in last year's Rice-UAB game.

The press conference questions are always weak sauce.

But this week I knew they would be soft because they'd start the whole thing off with Children's Harbor and have the CEO there like they do so who wants to be that person that turns it into a "how do you feel about your job right now".

RE: Rice Game thread
Speaking of weak sauce - David Crane addressed penalties DIRECTLY (as much as you would expect from a paid UAB production) in this week's Blazers All Access and Vincent's response was embarrassing. He waffled around trying to find a way not to talk about the team's poor behavior. In general, I find Vincent's interviews very superficial and his answers clearly designed to make him appear in a positive light as an interim coach instead of actual answers.
