And why not?

Fact is that the current OVC has only one returning member who finished above .500 last year (Morehead State). It appears to be a wide open season - any school could rise to the top if they put the effort in.

Just because USI is a D2 callup doesn't mean they can't be immediately impactful - they just recently had a final 4 D2 appearance and (on paper) have a better team than ever before.

The injury bug has already struck us though with one of our starters. We will be testing our depth right at the start.
