2nd half. Speechless
First half mistakes and a good app team dominated the first half.

But we dominated the second.

Great win ! Any doubters in the sun belt left?

It will be great to have App State back in Harrisonburg. Can't wait for the game.

App state had 7 drives in the 2nd half for 87 total yards.

They got 47 yards on their first drive of the half and were stopped on 4th and 2.

Their last six drives they had 40 total yards.

Incredible performance by this young defense who is showing flashes of being incredibly stout.

Most of the first half scores were on short fields due to turnovers also. Take away those turnovers and the D would likely look even better.

Like I said, which I have been ridiculed for, this is likely the best D-line that JMU has ever fielded.

Have never been to Boone. Nice stadium, great backdrop, excellent entry process and beer sales setup. But even better win!

Question is:

Can we get the stadium bowled in and expanded on the other side before this epic showdown? It’d sell 40-45k I’d bet, no problem.

How great is it to have tough, nail biter competitive football?

52-3 beatdowns make it tough to get friends OR family real interested in much of anything other than the tailgate and shopping in the bookstore.

Maybe that was the plan?!?

Sounds like a halftime speech made the second half speechless! May go down in JMU football folklore.

Almost exactly like 2008. Except this time we didn't let them score after halftime. And it was at their house.

I think we've hit upon the secret recipe to beating app. Just spot them a 3+ TD lead in the first half.

The crazy part is if app had gone down and scored a winning TD it would have ended with the exact same score but in reverse.

Was there, and i can say without a doubt this rivarly is picking up right where it left off. get ready for some great games to follow - and more national media attention.
this is what college football is about. Many of their fans were ready to drive to Harrisonburg , today, to extract revenge.
can't wait for next year.
this is what FBS is all about, regular season games with passion and excitement.
can't believe we have timewarped to where we are so quickly.
unbelievable!

RE: 2nd half. Speechless
I have been attending JMU football games since the 1986 first JMU victory over the Tribe. Boy was I pissed. I have attended JMU playoff games at Bridgforth, Marshall, App State and road games at Richmond, W&M (many times) and Liberty.

Prior to yesterday, the best JMU comeback I had witnessed in person was at W&M sometime way back in the late 80's or early 90's where JMU was done by 15 with 6:30 or so to go and came back with 2 TDs and 2 2-point conversions to beat my Tribe. I had to pay for the lobster dinners that night.

Yesterday's win at App State exceeded that and I was glad that I was there in the stands with the rest of the JMU fans cheering on.

Big thanks to JMU85 for welcoming me into his group for the game. What a blast. Always fun to meet others who have experienced life in Harrisonburg and have marveled at the growth of JMU football into what it is today.

As long as I am still living in NC, I will be at the JMU @ App game each time it is on the schedule. A really nice town and a beautiful venue.

Looking forward to the Dukes upcoming trip to UNC Charlotte. The Tribe kicked their ass this year, so the Dukes need to hold serve.

Go Dukes!

It is awfully good. The number of times 1 or 2 defensive linemen just completely defeated their blocks and were in the backfield within half a second was amazing. It's impossible to get an offense going when that happens.
