Browns won 29-17

I watched it. Their focus was mostly on Myles Garrett on the other end, but Wright seemed to hold his on and he had some pressure on a few throws--though he didn't have any sacks. He did have two tackles. Interestingly, he actually dropped back into pass coverage on a few plays, when they blitzed the linebackers.

The only reason he started was because Jadeveon Clowney was inactive from an ankle injury from last week's game. Not sure how long he will be out. But Wright has a pretty tall task; he is trying to get snaps in a lineup where the two starting DE's were BOTH the first pick in their draft.

IMO it's going to be tough to hang on to both Garrett and Clowney in the future.

IMO it's going to be tough to hang on to both Garrett and Clowney in the future.

Yes, Clowney is getting old, and he has had injury problems and has bounced around several teams the past few years. When he is healthy, and motivated, he is a beast, like Garrett. I think Alex is in a great spot to learn from them, and has a great future--that might come sooner rather than later.
