Dukes dominated from the ~15 min mark onward. GSU keeper had some insane saves. The goal we scored called offsides was going in anyway and had she let it go woulda been 1-0 in reg. Deservedly onto the conf championship.

The team definitely played better after the flat start. Not sure I would peg JMU’s improved play starting at the 15 minute mark, but the good gals did begin to put more pressure on the Panther goalie, who made some fantastic saves.

Agreed that the better team deservedly won. Panther fans very disappointed after a strong effort, again losing in the semis. They’ve got to be wondering what they have to do to progress to a final.

Volleyball with a 5 set win over Marshall last night, surprising they took us 5 as they have struggled but we hit for low percentages the two sets we lost and won relatively easily the three we won so likely just an inconsistent night for us. Veldman was hot with a career high 30 kills with only 3 errors on 50 swings, huge night for her. If we win today we will lock in 1st in the East and she’s definitely making a great case for SBC POY.

First 30 minutes of the first half JMU was asleep, playing very passively. Frustrating to watch that kind of play.

JMU completes the upset over Marshall to head to the SBC Semis! Fantastic play out of the defense today on the men’s side.

Men's soccer Dukes take down #5 Marshall 1-0! advance to play the winner of ODU-GaSt.

Good game dukes. Definitely was nervous down the stretch. Y'all kept the pressure on all game.

Considering our goalie got hurt during OT, I wasn't really relishing the thought of PKs either. Still, a bummer.

Volleyball with the weekend sweep of South Alabama (3-1, 3-0). We are Sun Belt regular season champs at 15-1 (21-4 overall). On to the Sun Belt tourney where we play Friday vs winner of Southern Miss/GaSo.

I sure hope they can keep up their level and dominate the conference tournament the way they dominated the regular season. A SBC championship to go with 2 runner-ups (I'm assuming Men's soccer won't take Kentucky) and a really strong football showing will be a hell of a welcome to the neighborhood.

The Volleyball Dukes took down Georgia Southern 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the SBC Volleyball Tournament today and move to the Semi Finals tomorrow against Troy!!
