By the way... Love the initiative to create a strong student turnout. Winning certainly makes it easier. Hope it continues into basketball season.

Can I be the old man who complains about them not wearing one of our school colors?

No, you can't. We have to fight our Boomer tendencies.

Maybe we see the gray (silver) uniforms this week.

Green, silver and gold. Maybe the current student population is aware
we have three colors.

I'm just happy to have student groups battling to increase turnout and game day experience rather than battling over the best study nooks in Swem.

As far as I am concerned, they could wear orange pajamas, as long as they actually come out to the games.

I might be alone in this but I wouldn’t mind an orange and black throwback game. I’m sure UA could come up with something slick.

It's a good sign if the "Gray Out" is in concert with the new home uniforms. That means there's some communication and planning happening.

I thought "Gray Out" referred to the age of the fans.

Blue is one of Penn State's colors. I'm not aware of them ever doing Blue-Outs.

Matching the color of the uniform with the student shirts each week is a great idea
for bonding the team and the students.
If only we could get all of the alumni on board to wear the gameday colors.
At least the alumni do have the correct hair color for this week.
Getting the students "all in" with the color of the week would be tremendous progress for Athletics and to grow student interest.

Look I'll just be happy if the alumni side actually shows up to the game. The students are embarrassing us attendance wise.

The entire upper deck including GA is sold out save a cluster of the high price/tier one sections on the edges. Downstairs also getting sparse. The only section with more than just a handful of seats left is the end zone section in SW corner.

2 of the 4 visitor sections are sold out. The other two are roughly half sold.

If this game isn’t sold out by kickoff, it will be right on the edge.

Note: our last sellout was HC 2017 vs JMU, 13,125.
Note 2: our last sellout that was not HC was 2011 vs ODU, 12,259.

Pretty impressive ticket numbers for a non homecoming or high profile opponent game. Speaks to the thought if you put a good product out on the field, people will show up. Let's keep it going!

Would it be too much to ask for them to also stand up and make noise on 3rd downs. You would think that the fans in Sections 103-105 would be the most energized fans on that side of the stadium but it is not the case anymore. I can only think back fondly to how energized the mid field section was a few years ago before the Zable renovations.

I must have not gotten the email that says that if you are close to 70 (AND I AM), you are not supposed to act like you are 30. My seats are now two rows from the top of Section 103 and I am still concerned that I am going to be tapped on my shoulder when I stand and yell during key periods of the game. At least no one has told me lately that I clap too loud!!

No blue out, because everyone already has blue gear. I think the white out started as a way to sell entire new fan wardrobes. It is amazing how much "white on White" apparel they sell in State College.

I like the "black outs" at the college hoops games that I attend where they give you a free t-shirt. I may never buy another t-shirt I have so many from games.

There are far too many empty seats in 103-105 and the fans in those sections are no longer generating much volume. I've had to turn my volume down a bit after discovering I have one paralyzed vocal cord. I must have blown a cord during
four decades of having my volume set on the max at the games.. I'll still contribute what noise I can with the remaining vocal cord. Sacrificing my body for the Tribe!

And the empty seats are because starting this year you have to buy a season ticket in order to sit at mid field.

I would assume we’re wearing the grey alternates if students were told it was a “grey out.”

On top of that, Saturday is the Family Weekend, as well as the annual Be The Match game, and Coach To Cure game. A lot of butts will be in seats. Need a big performance.
