I believe both of those were true. Especially the line towards the end. But also very true of the receiver group as well.

Hopefully despite the result it was a good first trip to Norfolk. Teams played chippy and with passion and made for exciting football.

Well I meant that as a GG to you guys. Really, good game. I was just so pissed at us letting another one get away in the fourth quarter that I forgot.

Now tell us how you really feel. We do feel the same pain despite the win though. A non existent running game for ODU is what kept this one close and we know its not gonna change anytime this season. You didn't choke. Chocking is what Appy did when playing the pukes. All you had was a couple of mistakes and you played against a better defense. Our one dimensional offense didn't really pose any threat in the first half but found some luck in the second is all.

I’m pretty sure joe kicked his dog after his post. And you’re right - they got beat by a better team that finally woke up in the second half.

Just going through the comments from the game, but that D2 corner is probably one of the best corners in the Sunbelt. He should be on the all conference team. He did give up 1 long pass though bc we play so much man 1v1.

Good game though. I expected better performance from the ODU offense, but Wolff was terrible in the first half. Losing Watson at running back hurts as we are already down the backup for the year. We have decent depth at RB, but these guys were 3, 4, and 5 string.

Blackman seems to have the tools but I think our secondary played well. We were able to lock up the WRs 1v1 in man and bring a lot of pressure. How little is the slot WR, he looked 5-7 150 pounds. I thought the running QB gave the team a spark, ODU mentioned that they did not expect that so it took time to adjust.

On defense, it just seemed that missed tackles and miss communication were the keys. I know we set up the play to Jennings all game long (ran Kuntz/AJ together with AJ running a corner route, which your corner sat on), but how do you leave the nations leading WR wide open for an 80 yard gain?
I was impressed with both punters....thats something!
