If you’re attending the game in Huntington on Wednesday, Oct 12th and are looking to spend a few extra days in WV, the 43rd Annual WV Bridge Day in Fayetteville is Saturday, Oct 15th. It’s an easy 2 hour drive east of Huntington.

Bridge Day is a unique one day festival that usually attracts 100,000 spectators. You can walk out on the New River Gorge Bridge, visit a ton of vendors and food tents and watch people parachute from the span to the river below. The Taste of Bridge Day on Friday evening at Adventures on the Gorge is a great event too.

And Herd fans can also jump, without parachutes, depending on the previous game's outcome. Fun for the whole family.

It's so cool that New River Gorge was upgraded to National Park status.

Thanks for the info, but we're still sitting around with thousand-yard stares.
