16.4k for a game against CLT is actually pretty good from GSU.

I agree! That’s outstanding all things considered.

Another positive for GSU, I didn't get to watch much of that game but when I did it was a very loud 16k.

The GS game in a couple weeks is close to a sellout and should sellout within the next week or so to help bring us around our average.

RE: Week 3 attendance
We had a bigger crowd actually in the stadium for this one than for Liberty. If we win consistently- which we haven’t done in a decade- we will draw fans.

RE: Week 3 attendance
At Memphis there was a little over 32,000. It was loud in in the Liberty bowl. Our last drive was affected by the noise. That shouldn't happen. Good game though good atmosphere. Lot of Tiger and RedWolf fans together. Tight game but friendly in our area. Sat behind an ex Tiger baseball player who was not happy with CUSA 6 except for UAB. He said it would be a good landing place to be in the SBC. Also mentioned cherry picking including stAte, App, Marshal, UAB,Memphis and a few others. Never happen and hope not. To good a thing going to tear it down.

I think I heard somewhere that's about our core crowd. We gotta win more to bring in the ones that gave up on us after the EJ debacle.

I’m not sure UCLA has had a total of 10k for all 3 home games combined. That stadium looks like a Marlins baseball game, that building is EMPTY!!!!

They need to build a 40k stadium. Not many teams can fill a place the size of theirs and it makes their small crowds seem so much worse.

UCLA should play in Pauley Pavilion like an AFL team.

RE: Week 3 attendance
The idea that UCLA needs to build an on campus 30k seat stadium show how jaded we(at least me) are to what football attendance is supposed to look like. Living in SEac country where 80k at a game is a light crowd, along with Michigan and Ohio St games on TV we begin to think those numbers are normal. In all actuality, I would imagine “P5” average attendance is closer to 40k than 80k across the board. Just means that most of our crowds aren’t weak or an anomaly in FBS, it just is what it is. We continue to grow, and hopefully and the SEC and the B1G rip apart a lot of what is great about college football, hopefully the crowd finds that history and pageantry in the SBC.

RE: Week 3 attendance
Vaught-Hemingway........64,000
Donald W Reynolds........74,000 (w/recent upgrade)
First Bank (Vandy).........40,000
Davis Wade...................61,000
Faurot Field...................62,500

These are SEC stadiums in the heart of the football world. Then look at places like Autzen Stadium. Considered one of the best football atmospheres and it only holds 54,000. I think we are in good shape as far as capacity goes. Hopefully we will see some good gains as far as attendance goes over the next few seasons.

For comparison, USC had 67k in their last game against Fresno. Their first game against Rice had 60k. Capacity is 77k at the Memorial Coliseum.

Chip Kelly has presided over a pretty major decline in fan support for UCLA. They need to kick him to the curb. I hear there's a former Big 10 coach available, so that might work out.
