Wow. This is the most shocking win I can remember. 21 point underdogs!
I suspect that will be Herm Edwards’ last game.
Is this our identity going forward? Grind it out on the ground? Probably a great idea if Powell is out for awhile.
Congrats to the players and staff. Best program win since the Cal Bowl.

I put the Purdue and Illinois wins above the ASU win. There's something about beating a traditional Big Ten team...

Hmmmm….that’s interesting, I’m sure Herm tried his best to communicate to his team don’t overlook EMU.

I understand the sentiment, but those were .500 Purdue and Illinois teams. And they were close games. ASU isn’t USC or anything, but I think they are a solid team that should go to a bowl game. We had to travel across time zones to the desert. And we beat them comfortably.
We probably shouldn’t forget about Rutgers in 2017, either. : )
Anyway, they are all great wins. Happy to have experienced them.

Nice find — that’s a surprise.
BTW, did anyone else see the coaches’ exchange after the game? It kind of looked like Edwards walked off in a huff as CC was still speaking to him. It didn’t look like CC appreciated that. Anyone else see that? I’m probably reading into it.

I didn't notice but I thought it was pretty cool that both coaches removed their hats when they shook hands. Never seen that before. Cool sign of respect.

Rutgers just plain sucked when we beat them. Purdue had a pretty good team that year as they kicked OSU's ass, but the rain kept the score close and a stupid PU penalty kept our winning drive alive. Illinois was lousy when we played them, they improved at year end. This was a two-possession victory over a team that won EIGHT games last year.
But, let's face it, I like them all!

Your win over Wazoo was a bit "hollow" due to their multiple starters sitting it out and waiting for the NFL draft. Still, I loved it.
Actually, I am watching Cooper Rush right now carve up the Bengals. He is repping the MAC and CMU well.

We were without our 2 OL that got drafted in the 2nd and 3rd round that game, and 2 defensive starters. People forget that lol, for some reason only WSU’s missing players were mentioned.
Rush is a capable QB, hope he does well.

I hope this is true and it becomes the origin story for CCs heel turn. Love to see the program become a little more aggressive.

You are so correct. As well, you traveled to play a team you were NOT scheduled to play. That said, it made the game surreal to most of us as it was indeed a COVID game and thus, not truly valued as much.
