That doesn't make sense - UNLV actually looked competitive this year.

Perhaps this is a sign that a potential Pac-12 invite is in UNLV's future.

Nobody cares about NFL drama in CFB circles, Urban could have picked any school this cycle if he wanted to start coaching again. If he goes anywhere it will be Auburn.

Obviously Meyer isn't going to Auburn, but whether it's Meyer or some other high profile coach, I do think Cincinnati will make a signature hire with its move to the Big 12.

Either Matt Campbell or Jin Leonhard would be a great hire for UC.

Brett McMurphy updates the list of current FBS openings:

Getting Petersen would be incredible for any school, but otherwise that list makes sense.

Cincy would have to give Campbell a hefty raise to get him to jump ship, which seems unlikely. Fickell really left them in the lurch, I think they'll promote an assistant then do a real search in a year or 2 if things don't work out.

RE: 2022 Football Coaching Carousel
Watching the dominoes fall, and the coaches do a sidestep (or a step up or down) to their next position (most seem to be in place now), I'm left wondering:

Is it me, or are we seeing a lot more movement in coaches in the P5 conferences recently?

It just seems like conferences seem to have a lot less patience to let coaches do what they need to. Or is it really just that there were that many "bad fits/hires" ?

So to those of who who watch coaching changes more closely than I have (which is probably most of you lol) is there a trend to this, or is this just par for the course?
