Cue the Tulane poster talking about markets and academics 20 years from “NOW”!
I think most fans of AAC schools currently in the conference are wondering WTF Aresco was doing. I get UTSA but the rest of them, when you have App, Coastal, Marshall, Louisiana, and ODU out there, I just don't get.
Coastal should be favored against UVA later this year and ODU gets a shot at them too I believe.
The hell with the ACK... they did us all a favor. They're just the CUSA we were in 12 years ago.
Hey, I'm not saying that I'd rather be in the AAC. Other than ECU, it does less than nothing for me. Tulane? Tulsa? SMU? Memphis? They all play in front of empty stadiums but happen to be 15 minutes from the airport.
I do hope in the next round of expansion that ECU considers coming home. They are on a upswing and the local rivalries with the SunBelt East would be even better if ECU were in the mix. ODU jumped to CUSA years ago thinking we'd have ECU as our close rival. That changed quickly, and no fault to ECU, but the "markets over fanbases and rivalries" has not worked well in the CUSA, and will not work well in the AAC.
If only we could actually beat those bastards for once!

Concerning the thread title....next week not so sure but definitely today!![/i]

Ooohhh, I think that y’all are safe enough . . . . If the conference wants to “dump” anyone, I feel pretty sure that we’re at or near the top of that list.
Great weekend for the Belt though . . . . Can’t believe that those “clowns” across the street (CUSA) still think that they’re superior to us. Talk about living in De Nile.

On a day where I thought 7-7, 8-6 if we're lucky. What a day. ODU and Coastal the only blemishes, but at least Coastal got the win. I thought ECU would win, but hate that they won by as much as they did. At least a win over VT last week and a win over UVA next week should soften the blow
Four of the seven in the SBC East have P5 W's, including the team picked last in the east and including two top ten wins. App was a two point conversion away from another P5 win, Georgia State almost pulled one off. Coastal has an impressive win over Army and JMU an absolutely dominating win over a team that won a bowl game last year. Both will get their shots at P5's in November and I think both will win... Safe to say the SBC East is living up to the hype so far.
