RE: thoughts on UCF....
I understand your current concern. Do not worry. We went to the Fiesta Bowl with O'Leary and beat a team from the Big XII. Then we fell off the face of the earth. Then we resurrected. We will be back quickly.

Need to start doing H&Hs with UCONN every year in addition to USF and whoever else. It’s an “easy” rivalry game for recruiting.

I didn’t realize Connecticut was our main recruiting grounds?

There is a reason why 3 different HC's & Coaching Staffs took UCF to 3 BCSNYD6 Bowl Games...plus UCF's recent history for playing for and/or winning Conf Titles in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018.
Foundation is there...but yes some pieces are missing (QB) and it will be a BIG step up for UCF in 2023 moving to the Big 12...but that move has already paid off on the recruiting trail, enabling UCF winning battles vs some top p5 programs that they wouldn't have several years ago if UCF was stuck in the AAC.
Future is bright...Enjoy the Journey.
Perhaps Scott Frost will return.
No thanks to Frost. and yep, it is sad we only won 8 conf titles in 13 years. Add to that the embarrassment of going 9-4 last year with new head coach and 5 years' worth of injuries in one year.
There is no doubt UCF will be dead weight in the B12 for the next 30 years.

There are very few high level FB recruits coming out of Connecticut and the surrounding states. When they do have those type of recruits they go to Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State or Michigan. That's why schools like BC, UConn, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, etc. are bad more often than they are good.
There's little reason to schedule UConn, UMass, or whomever unless you are just trying to pad your schedule with a W.

Our OOC is going to be all Florida schools as much as is possible until we get some buddies out east with us.

Jacksonville dropped their program, but it was non-scholarship anyway, so they weren’t going to be on the schedule.

FAU might stand a chance to win.
