And the weather forecast: possible rains all week. Welcome to the Swamp.

Wow, that is a beautiful stadium!! I say they beat EMU by 8, and then their board complains that they should have beat a G5 school by much more….
Ok, I also want to say howdy, and that we are looking forward to a good game this Saturday.
And while we appreciate the positive comments about CF, let me say that they made me truly LOL. It was built in 1972 and has served us well for many years, but now it is in desperate need of renovation. And I do mean desperate. (Well, the stadium, that is, the actual field is still in great shape and is indeed pretty awesome.)
The plan is to demolish the entire upper west deck, and replace it with suites, offices, etc., and which was planned to start in 2021. However, with covid, inflation, etc., that has been delayed. We are hoping now that it will happen after this season. Here are some renderings of what it will look like once it is done:

But for those lucky enough to make the trip, we guarantee a good time….we love playing host and have some of the best food you will ever eat in our tailgating. Not to mention all the great restaurants in town. Let us know if anyone needs guidance on what to do, stay, etc.
Also, while CF is a dump, the rest of our athletic complex is really nice….CF is the last of many upgrades that have been planned for and done from our master plan. Our basketball/baseball/softball, etc., facilities are some of the best in the G5 world. But the site is actually a small distance from our main campus, which is truly beautiful and unique. So if you do come, please make the effort to tour it…we even have an honest to goodness cypress swamp right in the middle of campus, full of gators, turtles and all kinds of birds.

Here’s to a good, fun and safe game!
