Congratulations ODU, Sun Belt Field Hockey Champions!
ODU beat JMU in field hockey Friday. With neither team playing App St this year, I'm declaring the Monarchs unofficial SBC field hockey champions.
Not counting the ODU-JMU game, the three field hockey teams are a combined 6-1 on the sponge turf. Good start for all the ladies.

Yeah it's too early to tell but definitely looking like a decent team for ODU this season. The days of fighting with UMD and UNC for Nattys are gone but if we can stay competitive in the BigEast and occasionally win a Natty then I would call it a successful program. Good Luck to App and JMoo.
