Yes Buffalo is a flagship with large graduate programs (ie Med, Law). It is a member of the AAU—a blue blood club of Universities.
In terms of ‘fungible’ resources: In 2021, compared to EMU, Buffalo had: $1.1 billion more in the bank, 5000 more UG, ~$100 million more in state funding.
