Big 12 takes AZ, UT and perhaps AZ State and CO High.
Whatever is left keep the P12 name and merge MW.
I totally agree, though I would only take the top of the MWC and add some Texas schools and add Eastern/Southern schools like Memphis, Tulane and USF.
We should go big. Make a play for Oregon, Udub, Utah, and maybe Arizona. Have contingency plans in place if any of those four get called up to the B1G, and wait for the ACC to become available. Colorado and whichever is #5 aren't going anywhere.
NO to Tulane and USF!
I'm talking about the Pac-12 adding them if they lose the 8 team.

I know this realignment stuff moves slower than fans want them to. I am ready for the BIG to announce their move and go ahead and add the four PAC teams to help UCLA and USC from being so isolated. Obviously the next move will be the Big 12's turn and they invite the PAC 6 remainders, add Memphis and either Boise State or San Diego State and go to four pods of five teams.
East: Central Florida; Cincinnati, Iowa State, Memphis and West Virginia
Central: Baylor, Houston, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech
Plains/Mountains: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas and Kansas State
West: BYU, Oregon State, Utah, Washington State and either San Diego State or Boise State
This would eliminate the PAC 12, build distance from the MWC as they would poach from the AAC who in turn would poach from CUSA to a point of them being FCS. Boise's advantage is that they are quite close to Washington State while San Diego State adds southern California.

I don't think that TV or the Big 12 have interest in adding Memphis or Boise anymore, or San Diego State .

Maybe not, but Four pods of five will help with travel and strengthen rivalries. BIG and SEC will both be at 20 before we know it and the ACC will be limited on who they could add. The Big 12 would only be adding to G5 who are most ready to advance.

True but if the reports are true and the Big 12 is adding a selective pro rata than the Big 12 won't be able to add G5 schools without taking a reduction in pay.

No need to add if it doesn't make us more $$. If we were at 9 or 10, I would say go for 2 or 3 for stability's sake.
