A first for MI. Will be in conjunction with Madonna. This will be a GAP year prep school (13th year). Will play other prep schools and play JV programs, too. Academically, the student-athletes can earn college credit from Madonna.

This could benefit EMU and other universities. Great place to 'stash' players who may be a year away from D-I sports. Esp. great for international student/athletes who may want a 'transition' year before making the move to FBS.

EDIT: Interesting Madonna has a football program now and it is coached by Herb Haygood.

I assume the prep school will be a feeder for Madonna and maybe some of the best talent can find its way to Ypsilanti.
