Looks like UT has gotten another invite to the NIVC this season. They play Clemson on Saturday @ Liberty.

Looks like CMU & Buffalo also accepted bids. Also Ball State got an at-large bid to the NCAAs, joining BG who got the auto bid.

Rockets get their 1st (I think) verbal for '24 in 6'1 MB Olivia Heitkamp from New Bremen, OH. 1st team all-state in DII.

Rockets take down Clemson in 4 sets in the 1st round of the NIVC. Not quite sure how Clemson managed an invite, when they finished tied for last in the ACC, but always good to get a P5 win no matter what.

Alt had her best match of the season, finishing with 21 kills, 7 digs, 4 blocks, 3 aces and 2 assists. MK Lopez, who started and played most of the match at setter, had 45 assists.

Rockets play Western Carolina tomorrow in their 2nd round match.

Rockets' season comes to an end with a straight set loss to Western Carolina. Set 2 went into extended points, but the Rockets couldn't finish losing it 30-28. Alt with 16 kills.

NIU has hired former UT Rocket Sondra Parys as their new volleyball coach. Parys played for UT from 2009-12 and had a decent career playing alongside all-american Lauren Rafdal. She was originally from Illinois, and had recently been an assistant at Loyola Chicago. NIU had recently let-go their long term VB coach Ray Gooden who had been there for more than 20 years.

Do you think the university should do more promotions for volleyball in the hopes of increasing the attendance ? What does it cost to view volleyball ?

It would be helpful if UT would win something once in forty years. BTW, BG had 1,400 for a home match with us. That's probably maxing out.

Just saw that all-court standout Sina Uluave had decided to transfer for her 5th year, and has landed at SMU. Her loss will hurt the team's prospects this year.
