It certainly was the event in the 757 and the commonwealth on a Friday night game presented on national tv. All the dignitaries were present to lend their support. It was a win to behold.

I don’t claim to know anything about what the rules are regarding access to an occupied visitors locker room. I think it would be wrong to assume the thief is associated with ODU. An incident just like this happened years ago when Iowa played at Iowa State and it turned out the culprit was someone from Iowa with access to the locker room.

If it is the case that the thief was someone with legitimate access to the locker room, I don’t see how that could be held against ODU.

It does really suck though. Whoever did it, I hate that it’s sucking air time away from what should be a good news story for us.

You seem to have a pretty strong reaction to this. I might be biased but this is going to be completely forgotten by next week or 2 weeks. The notch "W" next to our VT game will not be forgotten, however.

My Hokie coworker honked at me and flicked me off in the parking lot this morning, first time we saw each other since the game Last week before the game, I peppered his cubicle with ODU pennants when he was away from his desk.

Fun fact, we have beaten VT as many times as UVA has since the turn of the century. Heck, we've gone even with them. I think they're starting to hate us as much as we them

My boss, huge VT alumn/donor/etc didn't bring the game up at all yesterday in the office. =]

We both just pretended it didn't happen... until we go get a beer. Then it's game on.

I never said the thief was associated with ODU.... I said that it gave ODU a black eye...which it did. I would hope no one from ODU was associated with the theft, but my point still stands: Where was security?

My point was that if local LE was in charge of security, then they caused a big problem for ODU that wasn't needed. What did I say that was not true? Most of you guys who have been around since 2013 know that I have always been behind ODU and rooted for you guys and will continue to do so. This changes nothing about what I think of your University or program... It is more of an indictment of the security logistics and policies. And THEY caused the issue. But you know how the media is.
