2022 B12 Predictions
What order do you think the B12 teams finish? I’ll go first:
1. Baylor
2. Oklahoma
3. Oklahoma State
4. Kansas State
5. Iowa State
6. Texas
7. Texas Tech
8. TCU
9. West Virginia
10. Kansas
I’m sure no one will disagree with me here*

What ever happened to West Virginia? They used to run the Big East

They fell off toward the end of the Dana Holgorsen era and haven't been able to find it under Neal Brown. They've been mired in mediocrity for a while now unfortunately.

RE: 2022 B12 Predictions
Have done only limited research but here I have it by groups.
Top finishers (not a specific order) - TCU, Texas, Oklahoma St
Middle group - Baylor, Oklahoma, Kansas St
Next - Iowa St, WVU
Bottom - Tech and Kansas
I do think both Tech and Kansas are better than last year, but not sure enough to finish higher than other teams.

We had a hc that was good with X’s and O’s but didn’t care about recruiting. And now we have one that does an alright job of recruiting but doesn’t seem to be much of a coach so far.
But with all the problems we’ve had we still have a winning head to head record against 7/10 B12 schools. and are even up with KState.
Hopefully we get back on track soon. Which will be a problem for y’all.

I want to be that optimistic on TCU, but not sure I can bring myself to putting us top 3. I think I'd probably put TCU in the 5,6,7 range and making a bowl game.
In theory the talent is there for us to finish higher based upon the recruiting classes Patterson was bringing in, but I need to see more production on the field before getting my full class half full mindset.

Talent is there to compete with anyone in the conference. I am basing a lot on attitude change, health, and coaches. I was not a fan of the process to bring Sonny in, but he has a very good track record with QBs which I think will help.
That plus the first three games are very winnable and there is a bye week for adjustments. That should help get the players more practice with the system before conference play. I also think OU will be down this year followed by Kansas to help start the Frog October before OSU comes to Fort Worth.

Do you really think that due to a new coach, TCU will vault into the top of the Big XII? Did his SMU teams in the AAC ever get into the top 2 or 3 and be in contention for the conference championship?

This seems about right. Tech should end the season in the 5-7 range. Should have hired McGuire 2 years ago.

No I don't really think that, that is why I posted it. /sarcasm
Well technically I did not post that. I said the talent level with attitude improvement in players plus coaches and so many reasons for improvement, not just due to a new coach.
No, he did not win the AAC or finish top 2/3. Was that due to coaching or the school. He did have the first 10 win season at SMU since 1984. So he did better there than the previous 35+ years of coaches. Did SMU have top talent in the AAC? Haven't followed their recruiting, but I am guessing not.

I'm gonna say:
BU (I do like Shapen)
OU (If Gabriel doesn't stay healthy..will be lower)
UT
OSU
Then a jumbled mess between ISU/KSU/WVU/TTU/TCU
This probably won't be the year for KU to get out of the 10th spot.

There seems to be a lot of commentary coming from players out of practice, etc... that certainly imply that the players were disengaged the last couple of years under Patterson. At a bare minimum it seems like we will have better effort than it seems like we have seen in games the last couple years (minus Baylor who always got 100%).

RE: 2022 B12 Predictions
Conference games only, when you add them all up and divide them by 10, you will end up with a 50 50 result. 1/2 of the teams will win and 1/2 will lose.
